Recade is developing a console dedicated to retro arcades of the 70’s-90’s to help gamers relive classics with licensed games and seamless connectivity.
Elevator Pitch
Recade solves the problem of limited access to classic arcade games by offering a dedicated console with officially licensed titles. Gamers who miss the authentic arcade experience struggle with outdated hardware and lack of social play, which Recade addresses through seamless connectivity and a platform designed for retro gaming enthusiasts.
Recade charges for our hardware and a monthly subscription to the games library. We will offer additional controller types and access to different game tiers such as indie gaming.
Startup Journey
My co-founders and I have spent the last 3 years talking to potential customers, building our prototype, making industry connections, developing a product roadmap, and acquiring game licenses. Recade began with a love for classic arcade games and a drive to make them accessible for today’s players. We saw a gap other platforms didn’t by offering an authentic, community-focused experience.
Go-To-Market Plan
Growth will be fueled by influencers, network effects, gaming expos, partnerships, & ads. We believe that as potential customers watch influencers play our console online, they will want to join in on the fun. We uniquely offer the ability for influencers to game with their audience like no one else does.
Potential Exit
We aim to become the largest IP rights holder of retro games in the world. This will set up us to build strong revenues in line for an IPO. During our growth, we would be an attractive acquisition target by either Atari, Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo.
