SubSeq brings enterprise-level automation to lean teams with AI agents that manage projects, provide reliable estimates, and assist in coding, significantly reducing manual work.
SubSeq is building the first AI-powered project management and code automation tool built specifically to help lean, technical teams operate at an enterprise level. Our AI agents integrate seamlessly with tools like GitHub to automate estimates, milestones, and even coding support, working like contract engineers embedded in your team. Imagine a project manager, developer, and coach all in one—handling planning, tracking, and hands-on code assistance without adding headcount. Teams can rely on SubSeq to cut down manual effort and project drag, so engineers focus on building while management gets data-backed insights for smarter, faster decisions.
SubSeq offers a subscription model for startups and SMBs, with monthly and annual per-seat pricing. Companies can opt for additional features, such as advanced code automation and custom integrations, for flexible scaling as their teams grow.
Frustrated by the lack of tools to truly automate technical tasks, Teague set out to bring SpaceX-style vertical integration (doing everything in-house) to lean tech teams. He teamed up with Paige, who shared his vision for software that lets teams manage projects without outsourcing.
To validate SubSeq, we completed a beta test and conducted interviews with founders, PMs, and developers, evolving SubSeq from a “nice-to-have” to an essential tool that solves real pain points. Market research showed that most project tools either lack automation power or are too costly for smaller teams, leaving a clear gap for our solution.
Since opening our waitlist last week, we’ve signed up 50 companies for our pilot launch. Our greatest need now is capital and connections, as we plan to scale to 1,300 users by the end of 2025 and target 0.1% of the $290B SMB outsourcing market, reaching $128M ARR by year 5.
We’re starting with direct outreach – attending events, conferences, and building relationships one-on-one. As we gain traction, we’ll partner with accelerators and incubators to expand our reach, then scale through content marketing on LinkedIn, heavy referral incentives, and targeted LinkedIn and Google ads to drive growth.
Potential exits include M&A with Microsoft, Atlassian, Linear, or Asana. Microsoft is the most likely acquirer, as SubSeq could enhance developer productivity in Azure DevOps and GitHub. Atlassian would gain advanced automation for Jira, while Linear and Asana could attract more developers by expanding their technical capabilities.
