Our journey began out of a personal need fueled by a growing trend of financial individualism in couples and the stress it brings. As a brother-sister team, we envisioned a solution reflecting what we wished our parents had. After a three-month search, we found our technical lead within the FaithTech community. The validation came when we became finalists pitching on stage at a national accelerator, despite starting with just a concept. However, multiple pivots followed as we learned that accelerator enthusiasm didn’t guarantee customer adoption. Through perseverance, we refined our idea into Sixpence, validated through collaboration sessions with a major Christian premarital counseling program and conversations with advisors. Currently, our focus is on building the demo, but our greatest challenge lies in securing additional development resources. With limited time outside our full-time jobs, we’re eager to expand our team to bring our vision to life.
