Revenue Model

PorchFiles revenue model will be to charge insurance agencies by client count. Every client will be invited to join the platform. Client will be able to set up reminders to rebuy air filters and other supplies that will go through affiliate links.  Other services will be added over time.

Startup Journey

As a 12 year veteran in the insurance industry I would make home maintenance checklists for my clients and co brand them with my referral partners. I have always had a heart for the first time home buyer and wanted there to be a program that teaches them how to buy and own a home. I have always had a desire to learn how to build tools and apps so I just started taking Udemy courses and other online courses to start learning how systems integrate and how to build low code tools. I started by making small inter-agency apps on glide and then decided to take my idea of making a co branded home maintenance checklist into a full Saas application at the beginning of 2023.  I am looking forward to getting feedback and the guidance to take this idea to the next level.

Go-To-Market Plan

I am very active in the insurtech space. I currently have 2 other products that go to trade shows. I am also the President of the Houston NetVu chapter and meet with agencies all over the country on ideas. I plan to use these two spaces to build from.

Potential Exit

Our exit strategy would most likely be if a large insurance or real estate brokerage wanted to use this tool exclusively. Someone like a Goosehead or Keller Williams might be interested in buying this instead of building it. Perhaps another CRM like AgencyZoom or GloveBox might want to merge.
