Streamlined Client Referrals for Freelancers
SaaS Platform · Prototype Stage · Austin, TX
We leverage personal networks and user digital rolodexes to streamline word-of-mouth referrals, enabling users to instantly hire their network’s recommended freelancers within minutes.
Elevator Pitch
“Despite various solutions catering to 64M freelancers in the US, the majority of freelancers (73%) continue to struggle with finding consistent and reliable client leads online. This is because existing platforms are oversaturated, unreliable and fail to prioritize personal networks, leading 85% of freelancers to rely on the antiquated word-of-mouth referral process for client acquisition. By digitizing the word-of-mouth referral process, users can access trusted recommendations from their personal network through customizable digital rolodexes. This streamlines the referral process, providing freelancers with consistent referrals from their network and clients with the ability to hire their network’s recommended freelancers within minutes.”
Startup Journey
“My personal journey as a freelancer inspired the concept of the digital rolodex and leveraging personal networks to streamline the referral process. I tried various online platforms for sourcing clients including UpWork and Fiverr, only to be left empty handed. That’s when I pivoted my approach to word-of-mouth referrals from people I already knew. However, the cumbersome game of telephone and relying on others to share my contact information resulted in leads slipping through cracks and missed work opportunities. This is when I realized that digitizing this process would streamline the experience, providing freelancers with consistent and reliable referrals.

In less than a year, our part-time team launched an agile Pilot within Notion, doubling our users within 2 months and yielding a 75% success rate of matching clients and freelancers through referrals. Our early users have embraced the agile version of the digital rolodex and we are on track to launch our MVP by Q3 of this year.

We are currently raising a pre-seed round of funding to hire our team full-time and to initiate paid marketing efforts. This will expedite our current time-frame for launching our MVP and allow us to reach more of our target audience.”
