“In 2019, during Ramadan, I crafted juice that my family adored. One member’s praise ignited the spark for La Fresco. As a health-conscious person who loves helping others, I saw this as a way to promote healthier living. Starting with online requests and deliveries, I opened my first shop in February 2020 at UK Mall, Kansanga, Uganda. People loved my juice, and demand grew, leading me to cater to weddings and events. In 2021, I ambitiously opened a second branch in Kampala, but balancing both locations proved challenging, and I had to close due to rent difficulties. This experience taught me the importance of mastering one store before expanding. In January 2022, I welcomed my son and took a break due to financial constraints. However, my faith in La Fresco remains strong. Our journey has shown that people crave healthy options and are willing to support a business that provides them. Our greatest need now is funding to reopen and expand thoughtfully. With the right support, La Fresco will not only thrive but also transform lives by preventing diseases through healthy living. My team and I are committed to making this vision a reality, one nutritious juice at a time.”
