Hopely is the app to bridge the gap between crisis and wholeness—we exist to scale care, connection, and compassion for those who need it most.
Did you know there’s over 725K social workers in the United States? I (Chris) am one of them. 15 years ago, I found a 7-
year-old boy camping underneath a bridge in my city with no one else around. Two years later, I had 130 young people on my caseload with half of them being exploited or trafficked. In both instances, I was overwhelmed and under-resourced to intervene consistently in these extreme crises. To solve this, I’m launching the Hopely app to bridge the gap between crisis
and wholeness with curated and vetted resources and wellness content for every frontline worker.
Hopely’s revenue model is a B2B SaaS application. Organizations, such as child welfare agencies, the department of health and human services, hospitals, or victim service units, can activate an enterprise subscription and deploy Hopely in mass or individuals can subscribe monthly to access the application’s full-suite of features and benefits.
In August 2023, I received the inspiration to rebrand and relaunch an app I built to combat human trafficking 10 years ago.
Only this time, my fresh inspo was to broaden the focus to include trafficking but also homelessness, hunger, and other
extreme health disparities in our communities. Without a new brand name, I prayed and said to myself, “Hopefully this works”, and literally, like a lightning bolt, the name “Hopely” struck my spirit and that’s how our brand, vision, mission, and purpose was reborn.
Since then, I’ve graduated from a startup accelerator in Fall 2023, bootstrapped $40K in the business formation and initial
software development, raised an additional F&F round of $80K to launch our MVP, assembled an experienced Advisory Team who are older and smarter than me, have demand from five large accounts, and are in the final sprint to launch our public BETA this month: November 2024.
Our go-to-market strategy includes omni-channel digital marketing, video creation and social ad optimization for targeted audiences, and leveraging strategic partnerships with the DA’s Sacramento Together anti-trafficking task force, the International Rescue Committee, Stand Up Placer, the Twin Rivers Unified School District, and already developed network of 15K+ leaders in NorCal.
Our exit strategy involves positioning Hopely for acquisition by a major player in the health and human services sector or a social impact fund. We’ll achieve this by serving 10,000 paying local users on the platform and then align with the right partner for expansion throughout California and the USA.
