I’m Crystal Dobson, CEO of CardiacFITT. I was inspired to start this journey in 2016 while working as a night shift nurse in the Cardiac ICU. Facing the dire health situations of my patients and the passing of a dear patient, John, who dreamed of a second chance at health, I realized the crucial need for preventive care. This realization led to the birth of CardiacFITT, aimed at integrating healthcare with fitness especially for underserved African American communities who suffer disproportionately from cardiovascular diseases. Our team is a blend of medical professionals, who came together driven by a shared mission to change healthcare delivery. We’ve validated our impact through significant reductions in hospital readmissions, cutting down costs by $3,700 per patient annually, which speaks volumes of our program’s efficacy. Currently, we’re expanding our digital outreach with a mobile app/Saas to enhance accessibility. Our greatest need is for capital to further develop our technology and give access to the millions without healthcare. From a concept to a leading telehealth innovator, CardiacFITT’s journey is about more than just healthcare—it’s about building healthier communities and saving lives, one heart at a time.
