It is common for students to not progress in English, and the reason is they aren’t reading. AIR Language offers personalized reading for every student.

Elevator Pitch

There are over 5 million English learners in the United States school system, and that number is not decreasing. And to make matters more difficult, one study found that we have seen English proficiency decrease for the past 4 years among English learners.
So, why?
In order for people to students language, they need to read and listen to the target language at levels just beyond their current levels.
AIR Language offers students choices about what to read at their current levels. That is how we are making students learn English again.

Revenue Model

AIR Language’s revenue model is per student per year, ranging from $35-$49 per student, per year.

Startup Journey

– As a former high school ESL teacher, I had the difficult job of teaching students of many different stages of language learning, all within the same classroom. I found that reading and personal connection was the most effective way to help every student. So, I built AIR Language so all could read language at just the right level, and I could guide them one-on-one.
-After creating a large amount of content, I found a cofounder, Nick, who was building SAAS products for startups. He brought one of his engineers on, and we have found content creators through Upwork.
-I used AIR in my classes first, and have sold it to other schools.
-We built AIR Language and iterated quite quickly with $100,000 raised, and no-code programming.
-We need exposure to larger school districts. With $50,000 we can attend the conferences that will give AIR Language the exposure it needs.

Go-To-Market Plan

-Conferences, LinkedIn messages, social media conversations
-Sponsored language learning events
-Drip Campaigns
-Competitions
-We are building a community that will serve to bring teachers together and give opportunity for professional development. In this community we will host podcasts, give resources, and publish events.

Potential Exit

We will pursue an IPO and maximize shareholder profit by expanding beyond schools to other markets, such as language for business, tourism, and language learning through life. We want to be the largest language learning platform and will do that by demonstrating more effective and authentic language learning than Duolingo.
